The House is located in the vicinity of a natural forest which resides in the “Werra Meissner nature reserve". The "Werra Meissner nature reserve" is flowing with forests, rivers, mountains, lakes and small villages and is well known for its hiking, cycling and canoe activities.
 
The cities of Hessisch Lichtenau (gateway to the Frau-Holle-Land), Eshwege, Witzenhousen  & Kassel (Documenta) are all located nearby and are within a 30-minute drive. The old city of Göttingen (University town) is a one hour drive from Gaia Retreat .
